In 2020 I launched my very own podcast to un-foil the ins and outs of the hair biz. On UN-FOILED, we chat about everything from life behind the chair and beyond.

The podcast for hairdressers and barbers wanting to take their career to the next level.

I chat to the trail blazers who have gone from working behind the chair to being platform artists, educators, business owners, TV and celebrity stylists, published artists, brand ambassadors, and so much more.

With more than 30 episodes over 2 seasons and counting, I ask all the cheeky questions you’ve always wanted to know the answers to, how they’ve done it and how they’re so much more than ‘just hairdressers’!

I’ve always felt there’s a stigma around hairdressing, being ‘just a hairdresser’ and that made me feel like it wasn’t a good enough career choice.

I’ve always been intrigued with the industry influencers. I was mesmerised by the people who have been able to make a name for themselves and have trail blazing careers as hairstylists. I could see the potential the career had but was always curious how?

How do you go from working in a salon to being an international headliner, winning trophies like you’ve just won a Grammy? I think as hairdressers we often have these dreams but feel they are so unattainable.

How do you go from working in a salon to owning your own successful business?

My career has taken me across the globe and I’m very proud of the network I’ve been able to create.

I was born with the gift of the gab and I’ve never been shy to ask questions. So during lockdown in 2020 I had an idea. I figured, why not use these connections to ask the questions I and so many others want to know?

And that’s how The Successful Stylist, UN-FOILED was born!

The shiny accolades can seem unattainable, so I’m making it my mission to break down the barriers, simplify the process and make those dreams you have within reach.

I hope the platform I’ve created will inspire young stylists to dream bi! Hairdressing is an incredible and profitable career choice with so much room for success.

I want to show you all of the avenues the hair and beauty industry can take you. And to show a there’s so much more to a career in the industry than being ‘just hairdressers’.
